GUIDES who help people explore our wonderful city have been recognised for the second time in a prestigious worldwide award.

Salisbury City Guides have been actively promoting the city for over 20 years with their daily city walks, bespoke tours and talks.

Their efforts saw them awarded the Tripadvisor ‘Traveler’s Choice’ award, which recognises businesses that earn consistently great reviews.

As award winners, Salisbury City Guides are among the top 10% of things to do worldwide.

A spokesperson said: “Salisbury City Guides are proud that their work in promoting the city has resulted in this special award for the second time.”

Following the success of winning the Traveler’s Choice award last year, the Blue Badge Tourist Guide members of the group have worked hard to maintain the standard of welcome for visitors to Salisbury.

The reviews that have produced the award are from people visiting from all over the UK and countries worldwide.

A spokesperson added: “Salisbury is a great place for tourists and is becoming an all-year-round destination. Tourism is an important part of the local economy and Salisbury City Guides is really well supported by the staff at Salisbury Information Centre.”
