THE Stars Appeal – Salisbury District Hospital’s charity – has been bowled over by the efforts of a local serviceman who has raised more than £1,000.
Corporal Nabin Rana, of 32 Regt Royal Artillery LAD REM, challenged himself throughout November to 10km daily runs, totalling a whopping 300km.
Nabin managed to pull in £1,234 and presented this to the hospital yesterday (Thursday) in support of the Maternity Department.
He was inspired to take on the fundraising challenge after welcoming a new addition to his family and wanted to thank you to the department for their “extraordinary dedication, unwavering commitment, and profound expertise”.
On his JustGiving page Nabin said: “This profound moment of becoming new parents solidified my desire to express my gratitude and support for the invaluable contributions of the maternity team.”
The Stars Appeal team said “a massive well done and thank you” to Nabin for taking on this inspirational challenge.
