Salisbury Plain cattle unit stripped and stolen – can you help police?

POLICE are appealing for information after a cattle handling unit was dismantled and stolen from rural land on Salisbury Plain.

The theft is believed to have taken place sometime between November 26 and 30 between Shrewton and Chitterne.

Officers say the metal structure was taken apart before being removed from the site.

The precise location of the incident has been identified using the What3Words app as ADVANTAGE.HURTLES. LOGIC.

It is an area frequently used by dog walkers. Police hope that regular visitors to the Plain may have seen something that could assist the investigation.

Officers are particularly keen to hear from anyone who spotted unusual activity, vehicles or individuals in the area during the four-day window in which the theft is thought to have occurred.
