STRUGGLING families in the Salisbury area will be able to indulge in chocolate treats over the festive season thanks to the efforts of inspiring youngsters.

Chilmark Fonthill Bishop CofE Primary School recently held a non-uniform day requesting chocolate donations for the Salisbury Trussell Trust Food Bank.

School admin officer Tracey Rennard said: “It was a wonderful success and added to Chilmark’s village total of donation 116.1kgs to the Salisbury Trussell Trust Food Bank, 37.1 kgs of which were Christmas treats.”

Angi Stoop, who co-ordinates Chilmark’s village monthly collection, was bowled over at the children’s generosity when she visited the school to collect the boxes.
