REVELLERS heading into Salisbury city centre to welcome the New Year will have medical assistance on hand throughout the night, with St John Ambulance providing cover during celebrations.
Salisbury City Council has confirmed it is funding the service on New Year’s Eve for the fourth consecutive year, ensuring residents and visitors have access to on-site medical care during one of the busiest nights.
The provision includes a team of four first aiders, two emergency ambulance crew and a fully equipped ambulance, ready to respond to incidents quickly.

Cllr Sam Charleston, leader of Salisbury City Council, said the authority was pleased to continue its support.
“A huge thank you to the St John Ambulance team,” he said. “We are proud to support this vital provision once again and hope everyone enjoys celebrating safely across the city.”
The continued partnership between the city council and St John Ambulance aims to prioritise public safety and provide reassurance to those attending New Year’s Eve celebrations in Salisbury.
