Roll up and shine: Wilton hosts charity car wash

DRIVERS in Wilton are being invited to roll up, get their cars cleaned and support a good cause – all in one go.

Wilton Place Care Home is hosting a charity car wash on April 16, turning its grounds into a lively community hub from 10am to 4pm.

The event will see staff swapping their usual duties for buckets and sponges, giving cars a thorough clean while raising money for the Barchester Charitable Foundation.

The foundation supports older people and adults with disabilities, helping them stay connected, active and engaged within their communities.

Visitors can expect more than just a car wash.

Organisers are promising a warm welcome, a friendly atmosphere and plenty of opportunities to chat and connect with others.

For £10 for a standard car, or £15 for a larger vehicle, drivers can leave with a sparkling finish knowing every penny is going towards a cause that tackles loneliness and supports vulnerable people.

While cars are being cleaned, guests will also be able to enjoy refreshments, including freshly baked treats, making it as much a social occasion as a fundraiser.

General manager Antoinette Roberts said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for visitors and the local community to come together and raise money for a fantastic charity which is making a real difference to people’s lives”

Events like this have become an important way for care homes to open their doors and bring people together—and this one promises to be full of smiles, conversation and a shared sense of purpose.

So, whether your car needs a quick clean or you simply fancy supporting a local fundraiser, Wilton Place is inviting everyone to come along, get involved and help make a difference.
