A WOMAN has died following a serious crash on the A338 near Collingbourne Ducis.

Emergency services were called to Tidworth Road at around 3.20pm yesterday (April 15) after a Mini Cooper travelling northbound left the carriageway and overturned.

The driver, a woman in her 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Wiltshire Police confirmed her next of kin have been informed and are being supported.

A male passenger in his 30s was also injured in the incident, although his injuries are not believed to be serious.

The road was closed for several hours while officers carried out investigations, before reopening later in the day.

Police are now appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam footage to come forward as enquiries continue.
