MUSIC and community came together in Wilton as two choirs joined forces for a special lunchtime concert also helping raise money for good causes.
The Salisbury Breathless Singers, a Singing for Lung Health group run by Sounds Better CIC, performed alongside Wilton Voices at St Mary’s Church earlier this month.
The concert featured well-known favourites including Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles, Any Dream Will Do from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat and Elbow’s One Day Like This.
The event raised £110, which was shared between Salisbury Breathless Singers, St Mary’s Church’s lighting fund and the Engage Festival.

The Breathless Singers were able to take part thanks to funding from the South West Wiltshire and Salisbury area boards.
The concert formed part of Engage Wilton, a creative community initiative that organises events such as the Engage Festival which returns from October 2 to 4.
Sounds Better CIC also delivered a Singing for Lung Health session for Wilton Voices, teaching members breathing techniques designed to improve lung health.
Liv McLennan, director of Sounds Better CIC, said: “It was so lovely to be able to join Wilton Voices for this concert, and to be able to help their members with some breathing techniques.
“We’re really looking forward to the Engage Festival later this year, celebrating the abundance of creative talent in and around Wilton.”
Salisbury Breathless Singers meets every Tuesday afternoon in Wilton and online, offering weekly singing sessions for people living with lung conditions.
