Traditional country fair to raise vital funds for Salisbury Hospital

A TRADITIONAL country fair is offering families a fun day out next month, while raising vital funds for Salisbury Hospital’s Charity.

Supporting the Stars Appeal, The Berwick St John Country Fayre returns in 2026 with a weekend packed with fun activities and entertainment for all ages.

Taking place over two days, the event will feature steam engines, vintage tractors, a dog show, rural crafts, heavy horses and classic cars. Beer and tea tents will supply refreshments along with a live auction held by Southern Counties Auctioneers.

An evening of live music – with access to the beer tent – will also take place the evening before the main event.

Attracting huge crowds from across the country and even further afield, the biennial event is run by a dedicated committee of volunteers, with the local community and village residents getting involved.

The money raised will help the Stars Appeal towards the £2million it aims to raise this year to fund projects across Salisbury Hospital. These include new equipment such as a mammogram machine for the Breast Unit, enhancements to buildings, and support ongoing projects such as support for people with cancer, a dedicated play assistant on the Children’s Unit, and Stars Appeal Wi-Fi.

Berwick St John Country Fayre,located between Berwick St John village and the A30, will take place on Saturday, September 19, from 10am to 11.30pm and Sunday, September 20, from 10am to 4pm. The evening of live music is on Friday, September 18, from 6pm to 11.30pm.
