Driver failed to stop after hitting cyclist in Quidhampton

POLICE want to trace a driver who failed to stop after colliding with a cyclist in Quidhampton.

The incident happened at around 12.30pm on Monday afternoon (June 3), and saw a vehicle collide with a cyclist in Lower Road, before leaving at high speed.

“The cyclist sustained leg injuries and was treated by paramedics at the scene,” a police spokesperson said.

“We are appealing for anybody that was travelling in the area of Lower Road, Quidhampton, between 12.15pm and 12.30pm that may have dash cam footage to get in touch.

“We are specifically looking for a green Mazda MX-5 that we believe may have been involved and travelled away in the direction of Salisbury.”

    Police need to look at Wilton road traffic to, as slip rod at end of village gos back onto Wilton rd. I know that’s where I’d go if I was the driver, quicker road to leave area.
