AWARD-WINNING Salisbury-based homecare provider Abicare has strengthened its leadership team with two new appointments.

The long-established South West business is growing rapidly and both Charlotte Webb and Angela Dawson have been promoted to senior managerial roles to support the company’s planned expansion.

Charlotte, who joined Abicare in 2016, has risen through the ranks from carer to keyworker, community team supervisor, community team manager and locality manager.

In her new role as registered manager, she will oversee Abicare teams and clients across the region, with a particular focus on Wiltshire.

She said: “I am delighted with my appointment as registered manager and am committed to learning in this role.

“Care is a challenging sector to work in, but so rewarding too, and by striving to do the very best every day, we can make a real difference to clients.

“Care is always at the forefront, which initially attracted me to Abicare ten years ago, and it is important to me that the branch teams continue to keep it at the heart of the company.

“We are highly respected in many communities in the region, and I want to build on this.”

Angela, based at Abicare’s Salisbury branch, has been promoted to operations manager live-in care.

She will focus on growing the company’s national one-to-one service, developing a stable and committed team to achieve sustainable growth in the division.

Angela said: “Abicare appealed to me many years ago as I wanted a rewarding career and it offered me the chance to make a difference every day.

“I enjoy working for Abicare; it’s very much a team effort, yet flexible and continually evolving. We have ambitious growth plans for the Live-in Care service, and I look forward to being a part of this.”

Chief operating officer at Abicare Matt Hibberd added: “I am thrilled for Charlotte and Angela and wish them both well in their new roles. Both ladies have progressed with the company and it’s wonderful to see further progression for them at Abicare.”

Outside work, Charlotte enjoys time with her fiancé and children and is busy planning her wedding.

While Angela likes theatre trips, dining out and walks with her Cocker Spaniel.
