Appeal after crash on A338 near Ashley Heath roundabout

POLICE are appealing for information after a crash that caused delays on the A338 last week.

The incident happened at around 6.25pm on Thursday, May 18, between the Blackwater junction and the Ashley Heath roundabout.

Police said it was reported the collision involved a black BMW, which had been stationary on the roadside, and a white Ford Transit van. There were no reports of any serious injuries.

PC Alexandra Donnelly, of Dorset Police, said: “This collision caused disruption on a major route, and we are carrying out enquiries to establish the full circumstances of what happened.

“I would urge any witnesses or any motorists who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage to please contact us.

“I would also like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding as police responded to the incident.”
