Appeal after handbag theft in Salisbury

A HANDBAG was stolen in Fisherton Street in Salisbury as a man and a woman were loading their shopping in their car.

The bank cards taken from the handbag were then used in nearby shops.

The handbag was later found discarded near Salisbury Racecourse but the bank cards were missing.

Police are trying to identify two people in connection with the theft.

A Salisbury Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing for your help to identify these two people following reports of theft of a handbag in Fisherton Street, Salisbury.

“The bag was taken as a man and woman were putting shopping in their vehicle and it was later reported that their cards had been used in shops nearby.

“The handbag was later recovered near to the racecourse, without bank cards. If you recognise the following please contact 101 and reference 54240069510.”
