Care home invites community to garden party with butterfly release

A CARE home in Salisbury is opening its gardens to the community this month for an afternoon of tea, butterflies and summer celebrations.

Laverstock Care Centre will host its ‘Butterflies and Blooms’ Garden Party on Thursday, June 18, at 2.30pm, marking Care Home Open Week.

Residents, staff and visitors will come together for what organisers describe as a quintessentially English afternoon, complete with homemade high tea served in the garden.

A special butterfly release will also take place during the event to help support the local ecosystem.

The care home is inviting the community to join them for the celebration and spend time with those living and working at the centre.

Organisers said the event is a chance to bring people together while showcasing life at the care home during the national Care Home Open Week initiative.

Everyone is welcome to attend.
