SWEET-NATURED old dog Diesel is looking for a comfortable retirement home where he can put his paws up and enjoy the quiet life.
The 12-year-old Staffie-Boxer cross, who is Dogs Trust Salisbury’s ‘dog of the month’, is described as an affectionate boy who loves people.
Staff at the Amesbury Road animal shelter say Diesel has been friendly with everyone he has met. A spokesperson for the Trust added: “Whether he’s enjoying a gentle stroll, watching the world go by or curling up for a nap after some fuss, Diesel is happiest when he is part of the family.”
Although an older gentleman, he still enjoys getting out and about, having a good sniff and spending quality time with his favourite humans.

Diesel is looking for a calm, loving home where he can enjoy his golden years. He could live with secondary school aged children and would like to be the only dog in the home, although he’s happy to have dog friends out and about on walks.
Diesel loves people, enjoys a gentle fuss and would be happy to welcome regular visitors. This sweet older boy is housetrained, knows some basic commands and has settled well into foster care.
So, if you are looking for a friendly, affectionate companion to share life’s quieter moments with, Diesel could be the perfect match.
