We are raising money for Piam Brown Ward to say thank you for their continuous support when my sister was under their care before she passed away.
Entry is free, but we ask for a donation.
My sister was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma in 2005. She overcame it once & then unfortunately was re-diagnosed at Easter 2007 and then resulting in taking her life in November of that year.
Throughout the process of her treatment which included chemotherapy & radiotherapy the staff on Piam Brown ward were friendly, supportive & approachable making Zoe’s last moments as comfortable as possible.
With the money we want to raise as a token of just how grateful we are as they continue to support children & teenagers through the hardest of times.
Thanks for taking the time to visit Piam Brown Ward’s JustGiving page.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Piam Brown Ward is the Wessex children’s cancer unit. We care for children from birth to 16 years old with all forms of cancer. The charity fund is part of Southampton Hospital Charity and all donations to the ward are kept in a ring fenced fund to benefit the children in our care and their families.
All donations enhance the experience of our young patients and their families whist under our care. The charity fund is used for patient, family and staff wellbeing, specialised paediatric oncology education for our staff and research to improve treatments.
