This year’s Edward Heath lecture will be given by David Dimbleby, the distinguished broadcaster who presented BBC Question Time for 25 years and has recently published his memoirs, ‘Keep Talking: A Broadcasting Life’.
David Dimbleby will discuss the changing relationship between journalists and politicians over the last half century. He will be joined by special guests, including:
Gyles Brandreth, TV personality and author of ‘Elizabeth: An Intimate Portrait’.
Michael Dobbs, author of ‘House of Cards‘ and ‘To Play the King‘.
Carolyn Quinn, presenter of ‘BBC Westminster Hour‘ 2007-2023.
The lecture will be held at 3pm on Friday 2nd June, in the nave of Salisbury Cathedral, and be followed by a drinks reception at Arundells, Sir Edward Heath’s former home at 59 Cathedral Close.

The drinks reception at Arundells will be open for guests of the lecture from 4:30pm until 6pm, the house and garden will be open for you to explore during this time but will close promptly after the reception for a private event.
Arundells is located just across the Close from the Cathedral on West Walk, there will be stewards available on the day to direct you there after the lecture.
Although there is no parking available at Arundells, there should be limited parking in the Cathedral Close car park on a first come first saved basis, at a cost of £8 a day. Parking for the Cathedral can be purchased as you enter the Close, via the High Street gate. In addition, city-centre car parks are just a short walk away.
Please note that tickets are non-refundable, but you are welcome to pass them on to friends or family.
