Fans urged to ‘unite in white’ for Salisbury FC’s next home game

SALISBURY FC are looking to retain their league status – and fans have an important part to play at the next home game.

The club is asking supporters to wear white at the Ray Mac for the club’s next fixture against Aveley on Saturday, April 12 at 3pm.

Fans are asked to make their voices heard as the club hopes the sea of white will create an atmosphere that will help get manager Brian Dutton and his players over the line in staying up.

Salisbury FC is still striving to maintain its Vanarama National League South status.

The club sits precariously close to relegation, with just three points and two league places separating it from the relegation zone with just four games left to play.

The first season at Step Two of non-league football was always going to be tough for the club, as they now play in a league with more full-time and well-resourced clubs.

Brian Dutton is urging fans to help create an atmosphere to remember.

He said: “It’s one of those games that we need to turn up as a collective and give ourselves a better opportunity to stay in the division.

“We need a special effort from the players and also a special effort from the fans going into these last few games.

“If they can all get behind the goal and create a special atmosphere from the get-go, during the warm-up, and during the match. That would be huge for us.”

Home kits are now on offer on the club’s website and in the club’s shop with £10 off all home kits, including the pink goalkeeper shirts.
