A MAJOR trial has begun involving a Salisbury man accused of a series of serious offences including rape spanning several years and two countries.
Scott McKenzie, formerly of Gainsborough Close, is on trial at Winchester Crown Court charged with two counts of rape, as well as grievous bodily harm (GBH) and actual bodily harm (ABH).
He previously pleaded not guilty to all charges when he appeared before the court in September 2025.
The court has heard that McKenzie is accused of raping and assaulting a woman in Catherine Street, Salisbury, in December 2020.
He also faces allegations of assault and rape involving a second woman in Prague, Czech Republic, in May 2023.
Proceedings began on Monday, April 20, and the trial is expected to last around four weeks.
