AN EVENING of glamour, laughter and generosity has delivered a huge boost for local children with £10,000 raised in a single night.
Members of Wilton Rotary Club hosted their annual gala with one clear goal: to support pupils at Wilton Primary School.
By the end of the night, that goal had been well and truly exceeded.
Around 100 guests gathered, dressed to impress, for what organisers described as a night full of warmth, humour and community spirit.
The funds raised will now go towards much-needed playground equipment – helping to create better opportunities for children at the school for years to come.

Hampers to be won!
The evening was brought to life by comedian Adger Brown, whose quick wit kept the room entertained while driving a lively auction, alongside live music from Steve Smith and Friends; a group of experienced musicians who have worked with some of the world’s biggest artists.

Many enjoyed the formal theme of the evening.
Organisers said the event went beyond expectations, not just in the amount raised, but in the atmosphere created by everyone who attended.
“What began as a hope and a dream became a reality last night,” they said. “With 100 guests dressed to impress, the evening was filled with warmth, laughter and extraordinary generosity.
“Being able to bring friends together like this is truly special. It’s the shared spirit and generosity of everyone that turns an event like this into something that will change lives and make such a difference.
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supported the evening. This is what community looks like at its very best.”
