CARE home residents have been wowed by displays at Salisbury Cathedral’s Flower Festival: The Spirit of Water.
Groups of residents visited the festival to check in on the fish they created as part of a community project display called Under The Sea.
They also took time to visit the display created by the home’s gardener Caroline and colleagues which included flowers picked from the Milford gardens.

One resident said: “I absolutely loved this outing.
“It was really special returning to the cathedral as I used to be a volunteer there, and to see the wonderful building so full of colour and so many people marvelling at the displays was a real treat!”

Aga Musial, general manager at the care home said: “Our residents came back buzzing from having attended the festival.
“Not only did they love seeing their own creations and flowers from our gardens included in the displays, but were inspired and delighted by the creativity on show, all set against the wonderful backdrop of the cathedral.
“All those who went have been talking about the visit on their return.
“We brought back lots of photos to show so that everyone can feel part of the event and we have also created our own mini-display here at the home.”
