ZAC Shenton-Phelps has been charged with drink driving after an incident on the A36 Wilton Road in Salisbury.
Police responded to reports of a vehicle “driving dangerously” on the route and was later stopped in Southampton Road by Wiltshire PCs Taylor and Chamberlain.
Shenton-Phelps, 28, of Adderstone Avenue, Cramlington, Northumberland – provided an evidential sample of 89 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, more than twice the legal limit of 35 microgrammes.
“He was charged with drink driving and has been bailed to appear before Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on November 9,” a Wiltshire Police spokesperson said.
“We’d like to remind drivers that drink driving is one of the fatal five – the five offences which are most likely to cause death or serious injury on the roads.”
