Man, 60, prevented from boarding plane after breaching domestic violence order

ANDREW Phillips, of Bemerton Heath, has been jailed after breaching a Domestic Violence Protection Order (DVPO).

The 60-year-old, of Winding Way, was stopped from boarding a plane at Bournemouth Airport on Sunday (April 28) by police.

He appeared before magistrates in Poole on Monday and was jailed for seven days for breaching a DVPO.

Detective Inspector Tom Ellerby, of Wiltshire Police, said: “Domestic Violence Protection Orders are designed to keep individuals safe, and breaching them is serious.

“Our priority is the safety and well-being of our community, and we will continue to enforce these orders to protect those at risk.”
