Man charged with attempted rape after Stratford sub Castle incident

A MAN is due to appear in court after being charged over an incident in Stratford sub Castle.

William Thomas, of Macklin Road, has been charged with attempted rape, committing assault occasioning actual bodily harm with the intent to commit a sexual offence and possession of a bladed article in a public place.

The 28-year-old is due to appear before Salisbury Magistrates’ Court today (June 5) in relation to the charges, which relate to an incident in the Mill Lane area on June 1.
