A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a serious crash on the A303 near Bulford.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 5.50pm on Friday (May 23) after a Toyota Yaris and a BMW R1250 motorcycle, both travelling eastbound, were involved in a collision.

The rider of the motorcycle, a man in his 60s, suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Wiltshire Police said the driver of the Toyota Yaris, a man in his 30s, was not injured.

The A303 was closed while emergency services and collision investigators worked at the scene. The road has since reopened in both directions.

Police are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
