A MAN in his 70s has died after a crash in Salisbury this morning (November 22) in which a pedestrian was hit by a car.
The incident occurred in Exeter Street at shortly before 6am, police said, when a pedestrian was hit by a car while near his van.
“The man’s next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with them at this incredibly difficult time,” a Wiltshire Police spokesperson said.
“Wiltshire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Team are currently investigating the circumstances and are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who may have recorded dash cam footage.
“All involved remained at the scene and there have been no arrests.”

They said road closures remain in place on Exeter Street, between St Ann Street and the Churchill Way roundabout, with drivers urged to seek alternative routes and expect significant delays in the area.
