EMERGENCY crews were sent to Chicklade on Monday morning (October 10) after a car crashed into a tree. Firefighters from Shaftesbury and Mere were sent to the scene, on the A303 near the village, at just after 9.40am after reports of a crash.
A spokesperson from the Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service, said: “The driver was able to leave the vehicle and confirmed by ambulance service to be ‘safe and well’.
“Firefighters relocated the vehicle to a safe area and fitted an airbag protector, before proceeding to make the scene safe.”
