A MAN suffered “seriously facial injuries” after an assault in Salisbury, police said.
The incident occurred outside Chick-O-Land, in New Canal, at around 3.30am on Sunday morning (January 5).
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “We are appealing to identify two women as potential witnesses to a serious assault which took place in Salisbury city centre in the early hours of (Sunday) morning.
“At around 3.30am, the victim – a man in his 20s – was assaulted in New Canal outside Chick-O-Land, suffering serious facial injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
“Two white women with long dark hair, one wearing a short black dress and the other black trousers and black coat, are thought to have witnessed the incident.
“We would urge them to contact us on 101 quoting reference 54250001325.”
A man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with the incident and was in custody for questioning on Sunday, the spokesperson added.
