A FREE event aimed at helping older people live more independently is coming to Salisbury next month with organisers claiming it is the first of its kind in the UK.
The Heyday Expo will take place on Wednesday, June 10 at Chapters on Fountain Way from 3pm to 6pm, offering visitors the chance to gather practical advice in a relaxed setting with free coffee and cake.
The event is designed as an informal drop-in where people can speak directly to organisations, ask questions and explore support options covering everything from wellbeing and personal care to money matters, housing, food and nutrition, travel, leisure and technology.
Guest speakers and community organisations will be on hand throughout the afternoon, giving guidance on how to stay well and independent in later life.
Heyday Living is also working in partnership with Salisbury District Hospital as part of a wider push to support healthy ageing and independent living.
Marketing director at Heyday Living Mark Dunne said: “We believe later life should feel positive, connected and full of opportunity, as many of us are struggling with loneliness, unsuitable housing or financial pressures without knowing where to turn for support.
“The Heyday Expo is bringing practical advice, trusted expertise and real community connection all under one roof. It’s about helping people explore their options and feel more confident about their future.”
