“Out of control” dog lunges at child in Amesbury

POLICE want to identify a woman after an “out on control” dog lunged at passers-by in the Kings Gate Estate in Amesbury last month.

Officers said the dog pictured lunged towards another passing dog, its owner and her child who was in a buggy at around 2pm on November 14 on the T-junction of Princess Way and Muggleton Road.

“When challenged, the suspect has responded by becoming verbally abusive and gesticulating in an offensive manner towards the victim before leaving,” an Amesbury Police spokesperson said.

They added: “We appreciate the photo is from behind, but if anyone recognises the woman pictured, or has any relevant Ring doorbell or CCTV footage, please contact us on 101 quoting reference 54240134817.”
