Police hunt man after two hurt in Salisbury “targeted attack”

A MAN is wanted by police after two people were hit by a car that failed to stop in Salisbury.

Police say the “targeted attack” saw two people suffer potentially life-changing injuries after they were mowed down by a car on South Western Road at around 12pm yesterday (March 28).

The victims reportedly knew the attacker.

22-year-old Braden Lynam – who has links to Salisbury and is thought to be in the Southampton area – is wanted by police in connection with the attack.

Detective Inspector Eirin Martin, from Wiltshire Police’s Criminal Investigation Department, said: “This is a serious incident which has resulted in two people needing hospital treatment after suffering potentially life-changing injuries.

“We believe this was a targeted attack and the victims are known to the driver.

“There is no wider risk to the public.

“A cordon is in place at the scene of the incident in South Western Road and I would like to thank the public for their patience while this matter is dealt with.

“Another scene is in place where the suspect’s vehicle was abandoned in Lower Road.”

Anyone who sees Lynam or has information on his whereabouts is asked to contact police on 999 using reference 127 of yesterday’s date (27/03).
