Police investigate van theft linked to A338 convoy

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a van was stolen from an industrial estate in Salisbury.

The theft happened overnight between March 29 and the early hours of March 30 at Old Sarum Industrial Estate, where a white Luton van was taken.

Officers believe the vehicle was later driven along the A338 in convoy with a dark-coloured transit van, raising questions about whether more than one person was involved.

Wiltshire Police are now asking anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area, or spotted the vehicles on the A338, to come forward.

The route is a busy one connecting Salisbury with surrounding areas, meaning there is a chance other motorists may have captured dashcam footage or noticed something unusual.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101, quoting crime reference number 54260037807.

Alternatively, information can be sent by email to 70986@wiltshire.police.uk.

Officers say even small details could help piece together what happened.
