PEOPLE can find out more about events celebrating Salisbury’s 800th anniversary during a series of briefings.
Salisbury City Council is welcoming the community to two events this month where they can find out more about what is planned for next year’s anniversary of Salisbury receiving its Royal Charter.
Throughout 2027, Salisbury City Council’s events and projects will form part of the
wider community-led Salisbury 800 programme.
The commemorations are being guided by a voluntary Project Board, bringing together representatives from the council, Salisbury BID, Salisbury Cathedral, Salisbury Museum and Wiltshire Creative.
A calendar of events is planned from January 31, running throughout the year, including the planting of 800 trees as a Living Legacy and a full-day, large-scale event on July 25 which will feature a Grand Procession.
