Salisbury Live in the square returns – with Britpop anthems, drag artist and original acts

THE Market Square is set to be bouncing next month for the Salisbury Live TwentyFive launch over the Bank Holiday weekend.

A range of artists are set to perform from 2pm to 10.30pm on Sunday, May 4, with fun for all the family.

This free event will see headliners The Britpop Boys perform all the classic Britpop anthems from Oasis to Pulp to Blur and beyond, as well as drag artist legend, the incomparable Dixie Normous, who will be raising a few eyebrows.

Salisbury’s favourite cover band, The Zucchinis, will be on hand to entertain with a set of sing-along classics.

A spokesperson for the event said: “We have three local award winning original acts, Love Is Enough, Signature Vision and Lucas Hardy.

“And there’s cider fueled mayhem and frolics from The Acrustic Badger Band!

“Our compere and DJ for the day is Salisbury Radios brilliant Craig Hicks.”

Collections and proceeds on the day will go to youth grant awarding charities, The Thom Belk Community Fund and Rose Gale Trust.
