Salisbury Talent Show on the hunt for performers to showcase their skills

DUST off your dancing shoes, warm up your singing voice and get practicing your magic tricks as Salisbury Talent Show is just around the corner.

The event is on the hunt for entertainers to show off their special skills – whether that’s belting out a ballad, strutting their stuff or even demonstrating impeccable dog training skills – competing for a money-can’t-buy prize.

The event is taking place at the final Salisbury Street Sellers market – a series of themed Sunday markets that take place over the spring and summer, organised by Salisbury City Council.

The last market of 2026 will not only bring local traders, food vendors and entertainment into the heart of the city centre, but will also see local talent battling it out for a slot at this year’s
Christmas Begins event in November.

The City Council has partnered with Panthera Dance Company, who will provide two
judges for the show and joining them on the judging panel will be local DJ and Head Coach at Astrella Academy of Football, Connor Sanderson.

There will also be a guest appearance from the Mayor of Salisbury, Councillor Jenny Bolwell.

Non-performers can also get involved, exploring the stalls, sampling delicious street food and supporting the acts who are brave enough to face the judges’ comments.

Salisbury Talent Show is taking place in Salisbury Market Place on September 13, from 10am to 4pm. Talent show participants do not need to register in advance, but can simply turn up from 10am and register at the Salisbury City Council gazebo.
