Salisbury young music stars shine in Rotary competition

THE winners of the Rotary Wessex District 1110 round of the Rotary Young Musicians competition have been revealed.

Held at the Godolphin School, the competition offered students in full time education up to and including A level or equivalent the chance to show their talent on a public stage.

The Overall and Instrumental Winner was awarded to Jake Barlett from Bournemouth on tuba, while Emily Price from Godolphin was the Vocal Winner.

Jake and Emily will now proceed to the next stage of this national competition, to be held in Bromley in Greater London, and hopefully then to the national final in Romford.
