SALISBURY man Scott McKenzie has been charged with rape after being extradited from Spain.

The 35-year-old faces two counts of rape, GBH, and ABH after an incident in the city in December 2020.

At that time, a woman was found after she had fallen from a second-storey window in Catherine Street, suffering numerous injuries. She reported that she had been raped.

Another woman, from the UK, reported being raped by a stranger while in Prague, Czech Republic, in May 2023.

McKenzie, previously of Gainsborough Close, was arrested in Barcelona in December 2024 for those offences and has been returned to the UK, where he has been charged.

Earlier today (March 19), he appeared at Salisbury Magistrates Court and has been remanded in custody until April 16, when he is due to appear at Salisbury Crown Court.
