PEOPLE with a passion for Salisbury District Hospital are being invited to help shape the future of care for patients by joining the Stars Appeal in a brand-new voluntary role.
The hospital charity is searching for two independent members of the community to join its Charitable Funds Committee – a group which helps guide how fundraising money is used to support patients and NHS staff.
The successful applicants will work alongside hospital-appointed members and the charity’s executive team to advise on fundraising and grant-making, helping decide how funds can make the biggest difference across Salisbury District Hospital.
The Stars Appeal funds projects beyond what the NHS provides, including specialist equipment, improvements to hospital spaces and support services for patients and families.
Every day, the charity says its work helps hundreds of people receiving care at the hospital and supports the staff treating them.
The new committee positions are voluntary and offer local people the chance to play a direct role in improving healthcare close to home.
Applications are open now and close at midday on Monday, June 1.
More information about the role and how to apply is available on the Stars Appeal website.
