SUSPECTED hare coursers used catapults to shoot out the windows out of a vehicle with catapults before ramming it several times.

Police are investigating an incident of criminal damage at a farm in Wilsford which took place at around 12.20am on Sunday (November 10).

It is believed six vehicles were involved – one a silver BMW X5 and another a Toyota Rav 4.

A video is circulating on social media, and police are asking people not to share it while they carry out enquiries.

Inspector Andy Lemon, from Wiltshire’s rural crime team, said: “This was a terrifying incident for both victims and we are treating it extremely seriously.

“We would like to speak with anyone who may have seen or has CCTV footage of a number of 4×4 vehicles travelling through Amesbury, Wilsford and the Woodfords on Saturday night/Sunday morning.

“If you can help with our ongoing investigation, please call 101 quoting crime reference number 54240132617.”

Police say they will increase their presence in the area over the coming days and nights.
