A THIRD person has now been charged after an orange substance was thrown at the stones of the Stonehenge Monument in June.
Environmental campaign group Just Stop Oil said it was behind the act.
25-year-old Luke Watson of Manuden, Bishop’s Stortford, has now been charged with one count of aiding, abetting, counselling and/or procuring destroying or damaging an ancient protected monument, and one count of aiding, abetting, counselling and/or procuring causing a public nuisance.
He is due to appear at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on December 13 for a first hearing.

This follows both 73-year-old Rajan Naidu of Birmingham, and 22-year-old Niamh Lynch of Bedford previously being charged with destroying or damaging an ancient protected monument, and intentionally or recklessly causing a public nuisance.
Both Naidu and Lynch were bailed and will appear at Salisbury Magistrates Court on December 13.
Just Stop Oil said the activists had taken action to demand the government “sign up to a legally-binding treaty to phase out fossil fuels by 2030”.
The action came the day before thousands descended on the World Heritage Site to celebrate the Summer Solstice.
