Top of Table Clash Ends in Draw

A late goal from Nicola Millings rescued a point for Salisbury against Durrington at The Ray Mac.

The Whites got off to a flying start as Amy Sanger latched onto a loose ball and found the net to give Salisbury an early lead. A big save from Daisy Burnfield midway through the first half ensured the Whites would go into the break with an advantage.

The second-half saw Durrington come out swinging. Inside the first fifteen minutes of the restart, Durrington hit the woodwork and Burnfield was again called into action to make another big save. The pressure from Durrington finally paid off as Danielle Burgess and Zoe Ridley both found the net within minutes to turn the game on its head.

With the game looking to have got away from them, up steps Nicola Millings who found the net with just four minutes of normal time remaining.

The point means Salisbury remain in third, 3 points behind Durrington with a game in hand.

Next up the Whites welcome Westbury to The Ray Mac on Sunday (2pm) for their penultimate league fixture.
