10 CATS are now being looked after by the RSPCA after they were dumped and locked in cages on the Salisbury Plain.
The furry friends were seemingly left to perish, as they were only discovered by chance by a member of the public who was out on a walk between Bulford and Tidworth last Friday (July 25).
They were taken in by the RSPCA Mid Wiltshire Branch who are currently nursing them back to health.
The cats, which were not microchipped, were left without food and water as temperatures reached a high of 27°.
The RSPCA said they were found “filthy and unwell”, but that they will be checked by vets before eventually being rehomed in pairs.

A spokesperson said: “For the lovely people who are asking how they can help the 10 abandoned cats, any funds raised will go towards the vet bills and any food will feed their little tummies.
“All funds go on the cats; as volunteers, we do not take a cut.”
