TIME is running out for community groups hoping to secure funding from Amesbury Town Council’s Grants Round 2026, with the application deadline fast approaching.
The council has already announced changes to how grants are applied for and awarded, and is now reminding organisations that all bids must be submitted by Friday, January 31.
The grants are available to support projects taking place between April 2026 and March 2027, with applicants required to follow the new criteria and application process set out on the town council’s website.
Applications must be submitted by email to the town clerk before the closing date, after which no further bids will be accepted.
This year’s funding round includes grants of £100 to £1,000, aimed at supporting smaller community initiatives, as well as the chance to apply for a single larger grant of £5,000, which will be awarded to one successful project.
Amesbury Town Council has said the revised process is intended to make grant decisions clearer, fairer and more transparent, while ensuring funding delivers tangible benefits for residents.
Once the deadline passes, applications will be reviewed, with successful groups due to receive funding from April.
Community organisations, charities and voluntary groups that have not yet applied are being urged to act quickly to avoid missing out.
Full details of the criteria and application forms are available on the Amesbury Town Council website and applicants are advised to read the guidance carefully before submitting their bid.
