Annual fundraising market will support people with life-limiting illnesses

SHOPPERS will have the chance to bag a bargain while raising vital funds for Salisbury Hospice Charity when the Sale of Sales returns this month.

Coombe Bisset Village Hall will host the pop-up market on Friday, January 23 between 10am and 2.30pm when huge discounts from quality traders will be on offer.

As well as designer jewellery, leather bags, clothing, accessories, cards, homeware and faux flowers, event goers can enjoy a bottle stall and café serving cakes and a delicious lunch.

Salisbury Hospice needs £3 million annually to run its services and more than half of that sum is raised by the charity.

The hospice provides palliative care to more than 1,000 people in the community every year in addition to supporting their families.

Last year, 242 patients were admitted to the inpatient unit with an average stay lasting 19 days.

The community palliative team made 9,730 phone calls to patients and their families, plus 1,400 home visits during 2025.

The charity also provides support on wards at Salisbury District Hospital.

Admission to the market is £4. For more information follow the ‘Sale of Sales’ Facebook page.
