City parks receive spring refresh

SALISBURY’S parks are being prepared for spring, as the council’s gardening team begins seasonal maintenance work across the city.

In a post shared this week, Salisbury City Council said its team has been working in parks to get them ready for the months ahead.

Tasks have included refreshing borders, redefining edges, weeding, cutting back plants and carrying out general tidy-ups to ensure the city’s green spaces are prepared for the change in season.

The council shared photographs showing recently maintained shrub beds in Queen Elizabeth Gardens, highlighting the work already completed.

The authority said the efforts are aimed at making sure Salisbury’s parks are “prepped for the season ahead” as spring approaches.
