MOTORISTS are being warned to expect delays if they are travelling through Amesbury tomorrow (November 14).

Police said a large funeral procession will take place from 10.45am to 12:00pm, starting from Kitchener Road and Amesbury Central Car Park.

This will take the following route: Church Street, West Amesbury, Normanton, Wilsford, Middle Woodford, Lower Woodford, Old Sarum Roundabout and A345 Highpost, before concluding at the Stockpot Avenue Cemetery, Muggleton Road, Amesbury.

Amesbury Town Council said: “Please could anyone parked in Stockport Avenue Cemetery who isn’t attending the below service or visiting the cemetery, remove your vehicle.

“Please be reminded that this is private property and parking is for users of the cemetery only.”
