A EWE – believed to have been pregnant – was brutally attacked by two dogs on a farm near Salisbury last Friday.
People driving along the A303 noticed two dogs were attacking sheep on farmland at Chicklade Bottom, Fonthill Bishop, on Friday morning (March 21).
Taking to social media, one of the drivers who noticed the attack, Ian Knight, said the dogs managed to rip out a lamb from inside the ewe that had been attacked.
Police are now urging dog owners to keep pets on lead around livestock during lambing season following the shocking attack.

Wiltshire Police said: “Several people informed us that two loose dogs had attacked sheep in a field adjacent to the A303 and one had been killed.
“Officers arrived just after 10.38am and located the owners of the dogs 50 metres from the incident area with a dead ewe.
“While our investigation is ongoing, we would urge dog owners to be responsible and keep their dogs on a lead at all times while near animals during lambing season.”
I hope they will compensate the farmer and an order is made for their dogs to be muzzled
Owner is irresponsible and needs to be banned from keeping dogs
Irresponsible dog owners the sheep was big enough to see so why were the dogs off their leads. The dogs owner/owners should be made to pay compensation to the farmer.
I really do not like dogs.
