Exhibition of colours opens when local artist collective arrive in Salisbury

A NEW exhibition celebrating colour, creativity and local talent will open in Salisbury next February offering visitors a welcome burst of warmth during the winter months.

Symphony of Colours, the first exhibition of the 2026 season at Fisherton Mill, will run from Saturday 7 February until Saturday 7 March in the Main Gallery and showcase work by Salisbury-based collective the Artlook Group.

Known for their diverse styles and uplifting subject matter, the group promises a vibrant display designed to brighten even the coldest days.

Formed in 2007, the Artlook Group brings together seven established local artists: Fiona Forbes, Lesley Heslop, Susie James, Helen Logan, Sarah Orchard, Sharon Rogers and Sally Tyler.

Between them, they present a wide-ranging exhibition featuring landscapes, seascapes, still life, floral studies, gardens, figurative works and abstract pieces.

The exhibition spans a variety of artistic mediums, including watercolours, acrylics, oils, pen and wash, and collage, giving visitors an opportunity to explore contrasting techniques and interpretations united by a shared love of colour and expression.

As well as viewing the artwork, visitors will have the chance to meet the artists themselves.

Members of the Artlook Group will be present in the gallery every Thursday, Friday and Saturday throughout the exhibition, between 11am and 3pm, giving art lovers the opportunity to discuss the work, learn more about the creative process and gain insight into the inspiration behind each piece.
