CRAFTERS in Salisbury will soon be able to work with others in the community as part of a new initiative from Hobbycraft.
The store at the Dolphin Retail Park on Southampton Road has launched a free initiative to offer an informal space every Monday evening.
This offers individuals of all ages and craft abilities a space to come together, work on creative projects, and connect with others in their local community.
The six-week pilot of Mindful Mondays will start next Monday (September 8) and will run until October 13.
The initiative is rooted in findings from the Power of Making Report, which revealed that 8.8 million Brits are already using creative activities to reduce stress and improve mood.

The findings also revealed 69% of people get a real sense of achievement from crafting, while eight in 10 craft at home alone.
“This new store event has been created with creativity and connection at its core, with the goal of creating connection between customers,” a Hobbycraft spokesperson said.

Taking place from 6pm to 7pm in the in-store workshop areas, Mindful Mondays is completely free to attend, with no booking required.
Visitors are encouraged to bring their current ‘work in progress’ craft projects or simply come along to try something new in a relaxed, supportive environment.
Alex Willson, Hobbycraft CEO, said: “At Hobbycraft, we’ve always believed in the power of creativity to support wellbeing.
“Mindful Mondays is about opening our doors and offering people a space to unwind, make, and connect. There is no pressure, no sign-up, just a chance to enjoy the benefits of crafting in good company.”
