A KEY Fordingbridge road has temporarily closed to allow for emergency repairs to take place.
Bournemouth Water is carrying out repairs to Bridge Street today (March 19).
Fordingbridge Town Council says a diversion is in place and that the town centre is still open to visitors.
The road is expected to be closed for two days.
“Bridge Street, Fordingbridge is closed so that Bournemouth Water can carry out an emergency repair,” a spokesperson said.
“An official diversion set up by Hampshire Highways is in place, and the bus company has been informed.
“Fordingbridge Town Centre is still open and you can park in either of the New Forest District Council car parks – in the town centre or opposite the Recreation Ground.
“The closure is expected to last approximately two days.”
